The Story of the Church
After laying the foundation of the biblical narrative, we will continue forward by going through church history. We will examine periods in church history where developmental shifts in Christian Theology and the church occurred as well as discuss the influence of key theologians. We will especially highlight how God has been working in and through believers to advance His kingdom purposes.
This will culminate in thinking about the Church today and our role in it. This section will include reflections on My Local church and the place of discipleship in church community.
Assessment
The assessment for this module will be giving a 10 minute presentation on a period in church history. This can either give an analysis on the period or relate the events to the church today and why they are important. It will need to include a PowerPoint or some sort of visual aid with the presentation. It will also be expected to refer to any sources that might have been mentioned for the week being presented on and provide a list of sources as a slide at the end of the presentation. Original material found on the subject is also encouraged to be included.
